Therapeutic Coordinator Vacancies

Therapeutic Coordinator Vacancies

Are you passionate about supporting individuals who have experienced trauma and sexual violence, ensuring they receive compassionate, trauma-informed, and timely support? The Rape and Sexual Abuse Counselling Centre, Darlington and County Durham (RSACC) has vacancies for dynamic candidates with the skills and experience to join our team as a Therapeutic Coordinator.

We are a feminist, women-led charity working to end rape and sexual violence by supporting and empowering survivors across Darlington and County Durham. RSACC was established in 1990 and now supports over 1,000 survivors each year. We offer free, safe support to survivors who have experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their lives.

The Therapeutic Coordinator will sit within our Therapeutic Services Team, acting as a compassionate first point of contact for individuals seeking support. You will be responsible for undertaking comprehensive initial assessments, identifying presenting needs and risk, determining appropriate support pathways, and coordinating timely access to a range of interventions. Additionally, you will provide ongoing engagement to clients to ensure they remain connected and informed throughout their support journey.

We are looking for individuals with experience working directly with clients within trauma-informed, advocacy, mental health, or well-being support services. You will possess strong assessment and communication skills, professional judgement, and a commitment to trauma-informed, person-centred practice.

The roles report directly to the Counselling Service Manager. We are recruiting for two positions:

  • Option 1: 30 hours per week
  • Option 2: 22.5 hours per week

These posts are restricted to female applicants only and are exempt under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010. Candidates will be required to complete a DBS check.

Salary: £26,761 – £28,966 (pro-rata for part-time hours)
