We are a feminist, women-led charity working to end rape and sexual violence by supporting and empowering survivors across Darlington and County Durham.

We are looking for a proactive individual with experience of providing emotional support to young people, that wants to bring this to a small local charity and join us in working to end rape and sexual violence in Darlington and County Durham.

We have a growing team of staff and volunteers who provide a mixture of 1:1 and group work support to survivors of all genders. Over the past 2 years we have seen a rise in referrals for children and young people, and are developing a schools based project in response to this.

The role is part-time, 15 hours per week, and can be worked flexibly between our office in Darlington, home and on site in schools in Chester le Street for the face to face delivery. Hours of working can be negotiated to meet both the needs of RSACC, the schools involved and the successful candidate. The post is initially funded for 24 months, with the intention to extend subject to funding and satisfactory delivery of objectives.
