Are you passionate about supporting survivors? We have a new part-time vacancy for candidates with experience of working with young people to develop and deliver a prevention and support project to secondary school students.
We are a feminist, women-led charity working to end rape and sexual violence by supporting and empowering survivors across Darlington and County Durham.
We are looking for a proactive individual with experience of providing emotional support to young people, that wants to bring this to a small local charity and join us in working to end rape and sexual violence in Darlington and County Durham.
RSACC was established in 1990 and now supports over 900 survivors each year. We offer free, safe support to survivors who have experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their lives. We have a growing team of staff and volunteers who provide a mixture of 1:1 and group work support to survivors of all genders. Over the past 2 years we have seen a rise in referrals for children and young people, and are developing a schools based project in response to this.
The role is part-time, 15 hours per week, and can be worked flexibly between our office in Darlington, home and on site in schools in Chester le Street for the face to face delivery. Hours of working can be negotiated to meet both the needs of RSACC, the schools involved and the successful candidate. The post is initially funded for 24 months, with the intention to extend subject to funding and satisfactory delivery of objectives.
Salary – £25,731 – £27,852 pro rata
